Madonna di Campiglio (Val di Sole)

Madonna di Campiglio is a renowned ski resort located in the Trentino region of northern Italy. 

Nestled in the stunning Brenta Dolomites, this ski area offers a fantastic mix of natural beauty and world-class skiing opportunities. It is part of the Val di Sole ski region. 

With a history dating back to the early 20th century, Madonna di Campiglio started as a traditional alpine village that catered to summer tourism. However, in the 1930s, it began to transform into a popular winter destination. 

When it comes to après ski, Madonna di Campiglio offers a vibrant and lively scene. The village is filled with numerous bars, restaurants, and cafes where skiers can relax and socialize after a day on the slopes. The atmosphere is welcoming and festive, with live music, DJ sets, and entertainment often on offer. 

Visitors can indulge in delicious Italian cuisine and sample regional wines while enjoying the après ski ambiance. It features a charming blend of traditional Alpine architecture and elegant hotels. 

The town is directly connected to the ski area, providing easy access to the slopes through modern lifts and gondolas. 

Madonna di Campiglio is particularly suitable for intermediate and advanced skiers due to its diverse range of challenging slopes. The resort features a variety of red and black runs, including the famous ""3Tre"" slope, which hosts a World Cup slalom race. However, beginners will also find suitable slopes and ski schools to help them improve their skills.

Folgarida-Marilleva: 

These two neighboring towns offer a more relaxed après-ski ambiance. The architecture is predominantly composed of hotels and apartment complexes designed in a modern Alpine style. They provide excellent access to the ski area through a network of lifts and cable cars.

Sitting in an adjacent valley, Marilleva has direct local train route access in the old town - there's also the Marilleva 1400 settlement, further up from the valley floor. 

Pinzolo is in the opposite direction, with a tiny ski area of its own, from which you can connect to the Madonna di Campiglio. Again, this is a much quieter low key base.
