Description
Espace Diamant is a popular ski area located in the French Alps, offering a diverse range of skiing opportunities. Spanning over 192 kilometers of slopes, it is a fantastic destination for skiers and snowboarders of all levels.
The ski area comprises six traditional alpine villages, including Flumet, Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe, Praz-sur-Arly, Les Saisies, Crest-Voland, and Cohennoz. Each village in Espace Diamant has its unique charm and character. They offer a mix of traditional architecture and modern facilities, creating a welcoming and authentic atmosphere. The ski area is not purpose-built, and these villages have a long history as mountain communities, providing visitors with a genuine alpine experience.
In terms of accessibility, Espace Diamant offers convenient connections to the ski area. Most of the villages have direct access to the slopes, allowing skiers to start their day right from the resort. Additionally, there are regular ski buses that connect the villages, making it easy to explore different parts of the ski area.
Resort Choices Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe or Crest-Voland are the best choices for connections across the entire area.
Stay in Les Saises if you're with non-skiers who love nordic, there's tonnes of tracks.
Stay in Praz-sur-Arly if you want a short trip to check out Megeve's slopes too.
Safest to choose any of these resorts as an option during peak season, due to the skiing being below 2000m.
When it comes to après-ski, Espace Diamant offers a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The villages have a selection of bars, restaurants, and cafes where visitors can unwind and socialize after a day on the slopes. While it may not be as vibrant and bustling as some of the larger ski resorts, Espace Diamant still provides ample opportunities for après-ski enjoyment.
