Discover the awe-inspiring variety of Icelandic mountain landscapes with this extraordinary tour offered by Icelandic Mountain Guides. Immerse yourself in the beauty of three stunning peaks that are both glaciers and active volcanoes.
Each peak presents a new challenge and an even greater sense of accomplishment. Begin with a thrilling warm-up on the delightful Hengill. Then, conquer the world-renowned Eyjafjallajökull Glacier, infamous for its disruptive eruption in 2010. Finally, reach the pinnacle of our journey at Hvannadalshnúkur (2110 m / 6921 ft), Iceland's highest summit, nestled under the magnificent Vatnajökull glacier.
While skiing is the main focus, we also ensure ample time for sightseeing, allowing our guests to not only experience skiing in Iceland but also witness the breathtaking highlights

Itinerary
Day 1
REYKJAVÍK – HENGILL
Our objective for today is local delight Hengill – our day stars at 09:00 with a pickup at your accommodation.
We are heading for the geological theme-park of Hengill that opens to local ski-tourers in the late season.
The drive to our accommodation at Flúðir takes us through the Þingvellir national part and we will stop at the Geysir geothermal area for some geology in action. In Flúðir – dinner and hut-tub!
Day 2
EYJAFJALLAJÖKULL GLACIER
climb the famous Eyjafjallajökull which erupted in 2010 and caused enormous disruption to air travel across western and northern Europe for several days.
It is a 1,651m high stratovolcano with a magnificent view from the top.
The tour takes from 8-10 hours.
Day 3
SOUTH COAST – GLACIER LAGOON
We explore the beautiful South Coast today including many highlights like the black beach of Reynisfjara, the picturesque village Vík, the Skaftafell National Park, the glacier Lagoon Jökulsárlón and diamond beach.
Day 4
HVANNADALSHNJÚKUR
Climb Hvannadalshnúkur (2110 m/6922 ft). Iceland’s highest peak and get an amazing 2000m decent.
Day 5
RETURN TO REYKJAVÍK
We make our way back westward along the scenic south coast of Iceland, passing beneath Eyjafjallajökull and stopping to visit the impressive Skógafoss waterfall. We return to Reykjavík in the late afternoon.
