Description
Ponte di Legno is a charming ski area located in the Lombardy region of Italy.
With a rich history dating back centuries, Ponte di Legno offers a unique blend of traditional village charm and excellent skiing opportunities.
The resort is situated in the Camonica Valley, surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the Italian Alps and just over in a parallel valley to the world famous Madona di Campiglio. Otherwise known as the Adamello Ski area, it's a modest size with a glacier, the majority of the areas pistes are in Passo Tonale.
Resort level sits at a good 1800m so in combination with the snowmaking fascilities you are on for good snow conditions.
Ponte di Legno Ponte di Legno is the main village and the namesake of the ski area. It is a historic town with a traditional Alpine atmosphere. The village features beautiful stone and wooden buildings, reflecting its rich heritage.
Ponte di Legno offers a variety of accommodations, from hotels to apartments, and has a selection of restaurants, cafes, and shops.
The après-ski scene is relatively relaxed, with a focus on enjoying local cuisine and the town's cozy ambiance. The village is connected to the local ski area, which is small and mainly geared towards the intermediate and advanced skier, with a mix of red and black runs. Good on a bad weather day as skiing in the treeline provides for more forgiving conditions.
Passo Tonale Passo Tonale is another prominent village connected to the Ponte di Legno ski area. Situated at a high mountain pass, it offers breathtaking views and excellent snow conditions. Get the connecting gondola up from Ponte di Legno to access it's wider range of slopes, including the Presena glacier runs. Beginners should stay here as there's a good selection of blues and starter runs to progress on here.
Passo Tonale has a mix of modern and traditional architecture, with hotels, apartments, and chalets providing various accommodation options. The village has a lively après-ski scene, with bars, pubs, and clubs offering entertainment.
Temù Temù is a charming village located next to Ponte di Legno, on the opposite end to Passo Tonale, that connects to the Ponte di Legno ski area. From here you can take the lift up and ski back down into Ponte di Legno and transfer to Passo Tonale, it will just take a bit longer. It features traditional Alpine architecture with stone and wooden buildings, a quieter and more relaxed atmosphere compared to the larger villages.
